Partial Iron Nail

A number of different fasteners were used. Iron nails were available for shipboard repairs and may have been used as weapons as well. Iron spikes, usually about a half-inch in size were used mostly in hull construction. Spare nails could have been used in canister shot from some of Queen Anne's Revenge cannon to devastating effect.
