Glass Onion Bottle

Onion bottle before conservation

Four dark green glass bottles, which most likely held spirits, have been found intact, protected from breakage for centuries. When compared to Ivor Noel Hume's Colonial Williamsburg typology, the "onion" type bottles nearly match those dated to 1714. Several additional necks and bases from similar bottles have also been recovered, along with fragments of square case bottles, including the neck of one bottle still retaining its cork.
