Pipe Fragments

Three pipe fragments like these date to the general period of 1690 to 1750 in manufacture, while a fourth appears to date earlier to around 1680 to 1710.

English pipes of this style were prevalent throughout the Colonial period in North America. A smaller pipe stem fragment was also recovered from concretion removed from cannon C-2.
